Are you taking GED/HiSET preparation courses to obtain your high school equivalency certificate? Are you interested in taking credit courses at Santa Rosa Junior College free of charge?
The SRJC Adult Education Program is honored to offer the Adult Dual Enrollment Program (ADE), which allows adult students pursuing a high school equivalency (HSE) certificate in California to take credit courses at a Community College without paying tuition. However, students must pay other fees, including Health Service ($21.00), Transportation ($1.00), and Student Representation ($2.00).

Program Eligibility
- You must complete all the required steps (listed below)
- You must take at least 1 credit class and at least 1 GED/HiSET preparation course offered through the College Skills Department per semester
- CSKLS 731, CSKLS 732, CSKLS 733, CSKLS 741, or CSKLS 742

If you are interested in enrolling in the Adult Dual Enrollment Program, these are the steps you must complete:
Step 2: Complete an interview with an ADE coordinator
Once the Adult Dual Enrollment Coordinators, Mariana Almaraz, and Magdalena Mendoza, receive the interest form, they will contact you to answer all the questions that you may have and find out if this program is a good fit for you. They will send you a welcome email indicating the steps to follow.

Step 3: Complete/attend an informative orientation
One of the ADE coordinators will invite you via email and offer some orientations; attend at least one and complete the quiz afterward.
Step 5: Meet with a counselor
Meet with an SRJC counselor to complete your Education Plan. Information about counseling can be found on the Counseling page of the Santa Rosa Junior College website.
- Your education plan must include at least:
- 1 CSKLS (GED/HiSET preparation) class
- 1 credit class (LIMIT: 11 credit units per semester)
Note: Remember, once all of your classes are approved, you need to complete them all to remain eligible in the Adult Dual Enrollment Program.
Step 6: If needed, complete the credit SRJC admission application
Complete a CCCApply Credit Application if you don't already have one for the Spring 2025 semester.
Note: The ADE Coordinator will inform you if you need to fill out a new application.
Step 7: Register for classes
Once you have been approved, you can now register for classes! You will be notified via email. Please review the SRJC Schedule of classes for the Spring 2025 semester and register only for the courses listed on your education plan through your Student Portal.

Step 8: Attend and pass all classes
To remain eligible for Adult Dual Enrollment, you must attend, complete, and pass all the classes listed on your education plan.
