Interested in participating in Adult Dual Enrollment? Please complete this interest form.

IMPORTANT: You cannot be enrolled in any classes at SRJC prior to being approved for ADE for the semester you wish to participate in. If you sign up for classes before you complete all of the steps and have your classes approved, your application will be denied and the enrollment fees will not be waived. Please wait until we have given you the green light to register for classes. Again, signing up before being approved will result in enrollment fees not being waived and ineligibility for the program all together. 

If you are not an ADE participant, you are free to enroll in whatever classes you would like. This only applies to aspiring ADE participants.

Once the Adult Dual Enrollment Coordinator, Wendy García-Vega, receives the interest form, she will contact you to answer all the questions that you may have and find out if this program is a good fit for you.

Complete a CCCApply Credit Application if you don't already have one for the semester you wish to participate in.

Note: The ADE Coordinator will inform you if you need to fill out a new application.

The coordinator will grant you access to Canvas to complete the required orientation.  Additionally, you will be able to take the comprehension test, which is also mandatory.

Note: You must achieve a score of at least 90% on the comprehension test before you can proceed to the next step.

Meet with an SRJC counselor to complete your Education Plan. Information about counseling can be found on the Counseling page of the Santa Rosa Junior College website.

• If you're an SRJC student in the HSE program, your education plan must include at least:
  • 1 CSKL (GED/HiSET preparation) class
  • 1 credit class (LIMIT: 11 credit units per semester)
• If you're a PAS student in the HSE or HSD program, your education plan must include at least:
  • 1 credit class (LIMIT: 11 credit units per semester)

If either is missing, it will not be approved. Remember: You will only be able to sign up for classes listed in your ed plan. Once the ed plan is finalized, the ADE Coordinator will fill out and submit your ADE form to A&R with the classes listed in your education plan. If the class you would like to take is not listed in the ed plan, you will need to ask your counselor to add the class.

Note: Remember, once all of your classes are approved, you need to complete them all to remain eligible in the Adult Dual Enrollment Program.

You will receive an email from SRJC once your ADE form has been processed. Check the status of your ADE form by logging into your SRJC student portal, clicking MY RECORDS, and then ELECTRONIC FORMS. If your form was not approved, the reason will be listed there.

Once you have been approved, you can now register for classes! Please review the SRJC Schedule of classes and register only for the courses listed on your education plan through your Student Portal.

IMPORTANT: All ADE participants MUST wait until priority 6 registration to enroll in their classes, even if they qualify for an earlier priority. By participating in the ADE program, they forfeit any other priorities for registration. For example, an ADE student who qualifies for priority 1 because they are Continuing Active Military, Veterans, Foster Youth, Homeless Youth* Disabled Student Programs (DRD), Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) & CalWORKs, Student Parents and Rising Scholars Program will have to wait until priority 6 to enroll because they are ADE students.

To remain eligible for Adult Dual Enrollment, you must attend, complete, and pass all the classes listed on your education plan. Remember, a passing grade means you earn a "C "or better for credit classes and a "P" for non-credit classes.
