Attendees at SRJC Roseland’s Welcome Day on Saturday, September 16 from 9:30 am to 1 pm will enjoy free appetizers, music, and have the opportunity to participate in a raffle.
Dr. Angelica Garcia, who took over as the college’s president in July, adds, “SRJC Roseland’s Welcome Day is a family-friendly day full of access to resources, programs, and the faculty, classified professionals, and administrators that work together to serve the Roseland community. My family and I look forward to spending time with the community, especially in the pursuit of higher education.”
Bilingual (English/Spanish) informational workshops will be conducted to inform new and returning students about class offerings and the many student services available at Roseland and the other SRJC instructional sites. Welcome Day events are a time to find community, have fun, and meet SRJC staff and students. Attendees can also visit Resource Fair tables to get information on the many student success resources available through the College and its partners. Staff will be available to help students take care of last-minute business, including financial aid applications or learning about tutoring, technology loans, food assistance, or career coaching, among many other available services.
