ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE COURSES

Registration for SPRING will be January 7 and 9 at McDowell School (in the B building).
Registration will be 10 am – 2 pm and 6-7 pm.

Classes will begin January 13, 2025. We offer beginner and intermediate classes:
9 am – 11:45 am (Monday – Thursday)
12:30 – 2:30 pm (Monday- Thursday, Level 1 only)
6:00 – 8:30 pm (Tuesday and Thursday)

If you need an advanced or online class, please contact SRJC.

Classes, parking, and child care are FREE. You can purchase books for $20 if you wish.

CITIZENSHIP PREPARATION COURSES

Citizenship Preparation will begin January 22 and finish April 30. The course repeats every fall and spring.

The class is on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm, at McDowell School. Free parking and free child care are available.

This class is designed for people who can speak, read and write in English and are ready to apply for naturalization. To apply, you need to have your green card for at least 5 years (or a minimum of 3 years if you are married to a U.S. citizen).

Please note, only the following people can do the Citizenship interview in their native language:

-If you are 50-54 years old and have had a green card for 20 years or more, OR

-you are 55 or older and have had a green card for 15 years or more.
