Class Schedule – ESL Courses at the SRJC

Summer 2023

The Noncredit ESL program is designed to teach beginning and intermediate English skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar) to non-native speakers. It prepares students for credit ESL classes at SRJC. The program offers morning, evening, and weekend classes online. It offers regular semester-length classes, short intensive classes, and ESL computer classes.

Students will develop language skills in English to complete essential literacy tasks. Beginning non-Credit English as a Second Language Literacy is for non-native speakers of English with little or no ability to read and write in English due to limited transfer skills in first language.

Students will develop and practice communication and pronunciation skills needed in real-life settings, with an emphasis on skills used at work, school, and in the community.
